Tucked in the remote northeastern corner of Uganda in the Karamoja region, Kidepo Valley National Park is one of Africa’s most spectacular wilderness areas. Covering 1,442 square kilometers, it borders South Sudan and Kenya. Gazetted in 1962, it is known for its dramatic landscapes and untouched beauty.
The park features two main valleys — Narus and Kidepo — surrounded by rugged mountains. It supports over 86 mammal species and nearly 500 bird species, including unique animals like cheetahs, wild dogs, and ostriches not easily seen elsewhere in Uganda.
Kidepo’s vast savannas, acacia woodlands, and dramatic mountains create an unforgettable safari setting. It is one of Uganda’s most pristine and remote parks.
